And on those long days, it's hard to find the motivation to do or write anything. (Especially after work all day and running stairs on and off for 3 hours of it.)

That being said; it is mother's day today. And I feel like it's necessary for me to touch on the topic of mothers. Specifically my mother. Because she is honest to goodness amazing.

My mom had me at the ripe age of (21? 22? Somewhere around there) and proceeded to raise me as a single mother because at the time my father was not someone she could rely upon (but that's a topic for another day.)

Though the last 27 years of my life, she has been my unfailing supporter. She has encouraged me to take roads less travelled, because she knows I don't always succeed in the orthodox ways that society lays down in front of us. She encouraged me to pursue a diploma in makeup. She has encouraged me since I've joined a drop in dance studio. She has taken my boyfriend and treated him as part of her family.

I could honestly write for days about the things I love about my mother. But for now I will just say this:

Mom, I love you so much. You gave have always listened to what I have to say, and you arrive to make me feel like what I have to say matters and is important; even when I don't think so. I would not be the woman I am today without you, and I am forever greatful for the place you keep for me in your life.

Here's to many more years of love and support in our future.

And now, I sleep.

Until Tomorrow,

Kass Daily
